The Klaipėda Castle, established in 1252, was part of a closed manufacturing territory during Soviet times, but today it is once again attracting locals and guests of the city of Klaipėda.
The Castle Museum was established in the Prince Friedrich Bastion tunnel a few years ago. It stands apart from any other museum in its modern, lively and unique approach.
Exhibition inform visitors of the history of the castle and city. The most valuable exhibit is a Renaissance ring set with a diamond, found in one of the castle's walls.
